About Lisa
I am passionate about working with women who want to achieve more clarity of thought, strengthen their connections with others, and live with more confidence!
I started my business in 2009 because I wanted to help other women harness the power of their own thoughts. From that time, my business has grown to include not only mindset shifts, but strengthening communication with others so they discover authentic and meaningful connection with important people in their lives.
I love the power of the word, so I wrote a weekly blog focused on a variety of mindset topics and started reaching people with my stories and suggestions.
One of my first individual coaching clients was a Sales Director with Mary Kay who was struggling to stay focused on her business. She had persistent distractions caused by the negative inner chatter in her thoughts. This is what I refer to as an “Itty Bitty Shitty Committee”.
She and I remain close friends to this day.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology. I have completed training for coaching the Core Communication and Couples Communication curriculums and the Everything DiSC Behavior Style profile. I love education and am in constant learning mode whether attending a seminar/webinar, reading a book, or taking a class. There’s no such thing as too much knowledge!
When I’m not working with women to help them upgrade their mindset and connections, you’ll find me hanging out with my husband, Rick, likely on a hiking or biking trail or trying a new food truck or restaurant.
When I’m not with Rick, I’m either with a friend having coffee or dinner or curled up at home reading a book or building a jigsaw puzzle.
Fun Facts
My husband and I met in college and were inseparable for three years; but then did for 25. The first night we saw one another again, we picked up right where we left off and have been together ever since. I think he spiked my coffee that evening.
I was always my mom and dad’s little girl. The day Rick and I got married, I told them each what a treasure that is for me.
I am a hopelessly hopeless romantic.
I’ve been caving (wow those spaces are little) and skydiving (scary as *$#*). Glad I did both. Once was enough.
You can’t tear me away from an episode of Modern Family even though I’ve seen it a kazillion times.
I love watching movies in a theater while we devour a large popcorn. I get more. Perfect date.
Speaking of movies … When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men and A Time to Kill are three of my favorites.
But if I’m reading … A Man Called Ove, The Nightingale, and The Invention of Wings rank at the top of my list.
I like Chocolate Raspberry Wine. My friends claim that’s not truly wine. Really??
I’m totally a morning person. Nothing more to say here.
I hope scarves never go out of style. What would I do?
My greatest food weakness is pizza. Oh, and our local hot dog shop.
